We use thermal imaging cameras and moisture meters to help find hidden leaks and damp in Auckland homes and buildings without opening walls. The inspection focuses on moisture within the building structure, so you can see where further investigation or drying may be needed.

What we check
- Hidden pipe leaks in walls and floors
- Shower and bathroom leaks
- Roof and window water entry
- Damp subfloors
- Moisture behind skirting and under flooring

How the inspection works
A technician scans the affected areas with a thermal camera, confirms findings with moisture readings, and shows you the areas of concern on screen. You are welcome to take your own photos and videos on your phone, including of the thermal images, so you have a clear record of what was found.

Case video: drying a water-affected ceiling and wall
This structural injection drying case video shows equipment used after water has affected ceiling or wall materials. It is included to show one drying method that may be considered after the water source and affected area have been assessed. It is not a thermal-imaging demonstration, and it does not mean injection drying is suitable for every building or leak.

Frequently asked questions
Can a thermal camera find a leak inside a wall?
A thermal camera can show temperature patterns that may indicate where moisture or water movement is occurring. The findings are checked with moisture readings and the surrounding building conditions before deciding on the next step.
How do I know if water is leaking under my floor?
Signs can include a musty smell, lifted flooring, staining near skirting, soft areas, ongoing dampness or unusual moisture readings. Thermal imaging and moisture testing can help identify areas that need closer investigation.
Is the inspection really free?
Yes. FREE leak detection, thermal imaging and moisture testing with any drying equipment hire, done on site by our technician at delivery. You’re welcome to take your own photos and videos, including of the thermal images. No moisture meter is left with the customer.
How long does drying a wet wall take?
Drying time depends on the water source, wall construction, how long materials were wet, ventilation and the moisture readings. Progress should be checked with measurements rather than relying on a fixed timeframe or a dry-feeling surface.
